Meet Alexa Smart, Founder & Attorney
Alexa Smart is the founder and attorney behind A Smart Defense. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oklahoma and her J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law.
Before founding A Smart Defense, Alexa built her practice at another Oklahoma City criminal defense firm, gaining experience across DUI, drug crimes, violent crimes, white collar defense, and post-conviction relief. That experience shaped her vision for A Smart Defense, a firm built on personal attention and direct communication with every client she represents.
Alexa is licensed to practice in Oklahoma and is admitted before the Western, Northern, and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Oklahoma County Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association's Oklahoma City Chapter, and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, and has volunteered through the Pro Bono Prisoner Representation Program in the Western District.
